Ravel’s Pavane (Lever Solo)

$7.00

(pour une infante defunte)
Lever Harp Solo, 2 Pages

Ravel composed this work initially for piano in 1899. He titled it, “Pavane pour une infante defunte” (Pavane for a Dead Princess) because he liked the way “it rolled off the tongue”! His intention was not to compose a dirge or funeral piece but to depict a princess who might have danced a pavane in the Spanish Courts long, long ago. Janet has arranged it for lever harp. Appropriate for weddings, ambiance music- anytime you want to play something beautiful and sensuous!

Arrangements by Janet Witman.
