A Patriotic Medley (Ensemble)
$8.00
Yankee Doodle / Chester / Churchill’s March
Patriotic Medley for Harps (in 2 parts). 2 pages each.
Janet has arranged three tunes which were popular during the American Revolution: Yankee Doodle was first sung by English Loyalists to mock the dissheveled Patriot soldiers, calling them “macaronis”, a term for a fop or dandy. Chester was composed by William Billings from Massachusetts which became the unofficial anthem of the patriots. Churchill’s March was popular during the late 17th century. Janet arranged this medley for the nation’s 250th anniversary in July 2026.
There is also a solo version available.
Arrangements by Janet Witman.
