This work was composed for organ and piano duo by Australian composer Auguste Wiegand (1849-1904). The title reflects the patron saint of church music, Saint Cecilia of Catholic tradition. Her icon is often depicted with her holding a lyre or psaltery. Her Feast Day is celebrated on November 22nd. The composer’s use of arpeggios and sweet melody inspired Janet to arrange it for two concert harps. Arrangements by Janet Witman.
