Canadian Jesuit missionary, Jean de Brebeuf wrote lyrics to this traditional French melody as a gift to the Huron tribe in 1643. ‘Twas in the moon of wintertime, when all the birds had fled…” Janet arranged this beloved Christmas hymn for the “Harmony of Harps” in upstate New York for a workshop presentation.
