Janet has arranged this joyful piece to fill in the gaps of harp works for Easter celebrations. The tune was composed by Handel in his oratorio, “Judas Maccabaeus”. A new text was written by Swiss minister, Edmond Budry in 1904, and then translated into English by pastor Richard Birch Hoyle in 1923.
This is the most popular hymn sung on Easter Sunday in protestant churches: “Thine be the glory, Risen conquering Son. Endless is the victory, Thou o’er death hast won”…
