Ave Verum Corpus by Mozart/Liszt (Solo)

$8.00

Harp Solo for Pedal (2 Pages)

Ave Verum Corpus translates, “Hail True Body” and originated as a 14th century hymn for Eucharist. Mozart composed his version as a vocal motet in 1791. Years later, in 1886 Franz Liszt transcribed it for solo piano. Janet has adapted Liszt’s version into a pedal harp solo, using double harmonics and slowly rolled chords. This work is appropriate for Lenten services, funerals, communion and Feast of Corpus Christi (celebrated on June 23rd).

Arrangements by Janet Witman.
